Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3) review

The Joker attacks Gotham City's Mayor's office but is captured by Batman, who escorts him to Arkham Asylum. Due to a recent fire at Gotham City's Blackgate Prison, a large number of sane prisoners have been temporarily relocated to Arkham, many of whom are in the Joker's gang. As Batman accompanies the guards taking the Joker inside, the asylum's security is overridden by Harley Quinn, allowing the Joker to escape and take control of the facility as he enlists the Blackgate prisoners as well as other rogue characters imprisoned at the asylum. Batman quickly realizes that these events, including the Blackgate fire, have all been part of Joker's plan and that the Joker had bribed a security guard to help him escape.

You start the game by escorting The Joker, while he's strapped with a straight jacket. During this intro, you have full control over Batman, you'll hear The Joker talking and joking, this is a great way to introduce the player to the game. The Joker is somehow able to get out of his straight jacket and escapes with his henchmen into the asylum. Now it's up to you to take control of The Dark Knight and hunt down The Joker inside of Arkham Asylum.

This is a very beautiful video game with a lot of atmosphere, you really feel like your inside a mental institution, it's a scary place. The world of Arkham is brought to life in high detail. The character design is superb with fantastic re-imaginings of some classic characters. When you die, expect whichever villain you're currently facing to taunt you. Even the smallest details aren't ignored, from the clues the Riddler leaves around to the scrapes and tears on Batman's costume. It's amazing how big and free the game feels, you can basically go anywhere in the Asylum and everything is in great graphics with a lot of detail, everything from the creepy cells to Gotham City, that you can see on the horizon.

The sound and music are great, everything from the classic Batman theme song, played in a very dark way, to the great voice actors. The Joker with his giddy personality to his high pitched laughter, which is done by Mark Hamill and is the only person any Batman game or cartoon should use. All the voice acting from the animated series was phenomenal, and they brought nearly everyone they could for the game. It especially makes a difference with characters like Harley Quinn, who was originally created for the cartoon and only later became one of the most popular villains in the comic.

You play this game as an over-the-shoulder, third-person perspective action-adventure game, you have a great view of both Batman and the environment. You have full control of Batman, you can walk, run, sneak and do other maneuvers. Batman is a trained martial artist, and this is the first game where you really feel that. This game has a great combat system, called Freeflow, it's easy to learn, but it requires great timing. You're using three primary buttons: attack, stun and counter, which you have to combine into a combo. By chaining regular and counter-attacks in combos, the player can build up a special experience point multiplier, which increases further if timed well. If you get a certain number of combos, the player then has access to an additional special attack that can quickly take down a single foe. I also like that you can sneak up to enemies from behind and do a silent take down. When you're up on a gargoyle, you can hang upside down and take an enemy up and strap him to a rope so that he hangs from the gargoyle, screaming for help.

Batman has access to a lot of gadgets that you can use in the game. Gadgets include the Batarang, an explosive compound sprayer and detonator, grappling gun, and a frequency scanner that can be used to overload security panels. Some of these can be used both during normal exploration of the game world as well as in combat. You can unlock more gadgets with experience points that you'll get when you fight enemies and destroy Joker teeth. New upgrades include new fighting moves, stronger armor and improved and new gadgets.

You will also have access to Detective Mode. It's some sort of X-ray technology to discover clues and determine enemy locations and armaments. While fun and very well-done, the player will find themselves playing most of the game in Detective Mode. You can turn it on and off any time you want, it's a great tool when you have to make strategic decision, to see where the enemies are.

For the Batman fans out there, they'll be pleased to know that Batman: Arkham Asylum takes most of its cues from both the comic and Batman: The Animated Series. They even used Paul Dini, the writer of most of the cartoon episodes among numerous Batman comics, to write the plot for the game. The touch of someone who knows and loves Batman is obvious right from the start. For the hardcore fans, the designers incorporated various Riddler challenges that dig deep into the Batman mythology. Find the clues and unlock bios and interview taps with characters throughout Batman's history.

Overall: Batman: Arkham Asylum is the best Batman game so far. With fantastic voice acting, gorgeous graphics, and a well written plot, makes this a fantastic video game that everyone must have, not just the Batman fans, but everyone who enjoys great and cool video games. Buy it or you will miss out on this year's best video game!

Merry Christmas!

Today is Christmas Eve and I'm very excited about that. We finally got snow on Christmas, it doesn't happen very often. My family and I are gonna celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa this year. My other Grandma and Grandpa takes turns every year to host Christmas, some years we're at my moms sister, but we only been there three times.

At three O'clock we traditionally watch cartoons from Disney, it's a Swedish tradition that we've had for 50 years, and apparently we are the only country in the world who does that every year. Even though I've seen it many many times, I still like the cartoons because it's tradition and it reminds me of my childhood, when we used to watched it back then and of course Christmas in general.

We're gonna eat the usual "Christmas table", with meatballs, sausages, fish, eggs, ham with different mustards among other things. We actually eat this about three times a year, first at Easter, then Midsummer and lastly at Christmas. But I like the food anyway, but I don't want to eat more than three "Christmas tables", after that I'm sick of it.

After that we're giving each other the Christmas presents and my Grandpa is reading from the Bible, which he always does. And we also play a "gift game" where you roll a dice and if you get a six you can take a present, when the time is out you get the gifts that you've got. It's gonna be a great Christmas!

Yesterday I finished the last Christmas shopping, it was people everywhere! I'm glad I'm done with it and I've also wrapped in every X-Mas gift that I bought. But it was nice in the city, I really felt the Christmas spirit inside of me.

Merry Christmas!

First snow day [Update!]

The first snow came today, and it's been pretty cold outside, about - 8 degrees. It's unusually that this much snow falls in December. It's been snowing all day, so there's a thick layer of snow on the ground. I love the snow, it always makes me happy, everything is so bright, both in the day and night and the ground is sparkling like diamonds.

Snow also reminds me of my childhood, being outside and playing in the snow, making snow angels, building a snow man, having a snowball fight with my brother, I was so happy. We would also go to a big hill where we sled down with our snow sleds, it was a lot of fun. I would often lay in the snow looking up watching the snow fall, with a smile on my face dreaming away. I always wanted the snow to last because everything would have looked so sad if it melted. I always wrote in my diary when the snow came, I had to write down the happiness I was feeling, like I'm doing now.

I think it should be snow during December and Christmas because it makes the Christmas spirit even better. The snow will be laying there on Christmas and that's unusual, it only happens about every ten years or so. There's something powerful with snow, everyone lights up and becomes happy, especially the children and everyone who has their inner child still inside of them, like I have.

I went for a long walk today in the snow feeling like a child again, throwing snowballs at trees and signs, I was happy. I also fired some Fireworks outside, I always did that when I was younger, so it's kind of a tradition. Don't take the snow away because it's here to stay in every heart and soul today.

Avatar (RealD 3D) review

Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) is a former U.S. Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. He is selected year 2154 by a private army of marines to participate in the Avatar program to replace his twin brother Tony, who has just past away. The marines work for an American mine company which has colonized Pandora in search of a valuable mineral called Unobtainium.

Pandora is also the home to the Na’vi, who are considered primitive, but are far more physically capable than humans. They are about three meters tall, with tails and sparkling blue skin and live in harmony with their world.

In order to get the mineral, Jake is send to infiltrate and gain the trust of the Na'vi people and convince them to move. Their current home, known as the Home-tree, sits on the largest Unobtainium deposit on the planet. Since humans can't breathe the air on Pandora, they have created genetically hybrids known as Avatars which is grown from human DNA, mixed with the DNA of the natives. The human mind is linked to their avatar, allowing them to control and experience what it does, while their own body sleeps.

Jake is sent deep into the jungle and he encounters many of Pandora's beauties and dangers. There he meets a young Na’vi female, Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), who teaches him the ways of her people. As the humans try to destroy the Na’vi's world, the natives do everything in their power to stop the humans from threatening their very existence.

This movie is the most expensive of all time, and it shows. The world of Pandora, that James Cameron has created, is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. It has a beautiful jungle with lots of different creatures both dangerous and friendly. Pandora also has floating rocks and you can see tree roots and waterfalls coming down from them. And at night the jungle glows beautifully, everything from the ground to the plants, some reacts when you touch them and glows even stronger. Pandora feels like two places, one at day and one at night, because it looks so different each time, both are gorgeous. The environment has so much detail, it's really impressive how they have made this world, it must have taken a long time to do all the digital work.

James Cameron explained that the reason for the delay was that he had been to wait until the technology was advanced enough. He wanted to create photo-realistic computer-generated characters by using motion capture animation technology, which he had been working for the past 14 months. Unlike previous motion capture systems, where the digital environment is added after the actors motions have been captured, Cameron's new virtual camera allows him to observe directly on a monitor how the actors virtual character interacted with the movie's digital world in real-time just as if shooting a live action movie. Each actor had a motion-capture suite on to make every move as realistic as possible. The actors facial expressions and eye movement were also captured using a small camera, which were in front of each actor. This way, Cameron intends to transfer about 95% of the actors performances to their digital counterparts. It really shows that they've been using new technology, because it was very realistic and I must say it's the best 3D animation characters I've ever seen. The Na'vi peoples movement and facial expressions were really awesome and I think this is a new step in motion and facial animation. If they wouldn't have had blue skin, I couldn't have tell the difference if they were real or not.

What makes this movie special is that it's in RealD 3D. It would have been cool anyway, but I think the 3D makes it a masterpiece. I saw the movie in RealD 3D and the world that Cameron have created came alive in front of me, I were on Pandora. At times during the movie I felt like I were in the same room as the characters, like when Sigourney Weaver woke up after she had been using her Avatar, my brain thought it happened in the same room and that was a cool feeling. Forget about feeling nauseous, like one person who saw the preview of the movie said, I get motion sickness really easy and I never felt any signs of nausea, not on movies with shaky cameras (which I like very much, Cloverfield) or 3D movies like Avatar, if you follow the movie and get sucked into it you will never feel anything, because you have control of what's happening on the screen and the brain will adapt.

Despite what people have said about the music in the movie, I really liked it. The music works really well in these kind of movies. Composer James Horner scored the film, his third collaboration with Cameron after Aliens and Titanic. Horner recorded parts of the score with a small chorus singing in the alien language Na'vi in March 2008. I think he did a great job of creating music that sounded like it came from another planet. The theme song was made by the British singer Leona Lewis, called "I See You", which I think is a great song. Also the sound effects in the movie were done really well. Everything from the sound of Pandora's wildlife to how it sounded in the jungle.

I must say that the actors in this movie is great, especially the lead roll done by actor Sam Worthington, he's perfect for this roll. I liked Sam in Terminator Salvation and I think he's awesome in Avatar. I think we're gonna see Sam Worthington in a lot of movies in the future. I thought Sigourney Weaver also did a great job and actually everyone else as well.

Overall: Avatar is the best movie I've seen this year. This movie has a good story, great actors and a hell of a lot of awesome 3D effects and animations. The movies 2 hours and 41 minutes has never felt shorter, it happened things all the time, with lots of action and excitement, and that's a great thing. Avatar is a epic movie that everyone must see, in RealD 3D, and a must have on Blu-ray. I saw this beautiful movie on the world premier, December 18th 2009, and I'm glad I did because I couldn't have waited another day to see this movie that is truly a masterpiece.

Linkin Park: 8-bit Rebellion [Update!]

Linkin Park video game "8-Bit Rebellion" announced!

Linkin Park is releasing a video game to iPod Touch and iPhone called "8-Bit Rebellion". It was revealed on the LP Underground chat with Mike. He had this to say about the game:

"The game takes place in a world that used to be all "low resolution." 8-bit and lower...
Then an evil corporation arrived, and they've brainwashed everyone to buy higher resolution. They are called PixxelKorp. A small rebellion has begun, to fight against PixxelKorp. You (the player) may be our only hope to combat the evil!
As you get through the game, It's laid out like an RPG style game, but it's got a strong social community aspect. You can talk to all your friends playing, and play together. You solve various missions to fight PixxelKorp. If you finish the whole 1st mission, you get something AWESOME. The iPhone game is going to be coming out in January, we believe. The secret at the end of the game is...another new song. Have you read it? Another NEW SONG!"

The game sounds cool and now that I've just bought a iPod Touch I can also enjoy it. The new song that you unlock sounds awesome. I really think Linkin Park has gone back to like they were before, giving us fans what we want, like new songs and other stuff that LP makes and creates.

Dead By Sunrise new single?

A new single from Dead By Sunrise might be released, a single cover of the song "Fire" was found on a website. I think this is a awesome song, one of the best on "Out Of Ashes" (see my review), this will make a great third single. But I had hoped that they would have taken another song that not so many people already have heard, but we will get a new music video so that's cool. Anyway the single cover is pretty sweet. Check out the cover below!

New video games revealed!

A few surprises were revealed, one of them a sequel to the critical acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum, which I love. Also a sequel to the True Crime games, this time in Hong Kong, I've played True Crime: Streets of LA to PlayStation 2 and it was a fun game, I'm not sure if I'll buy True Crime 3. A sequel to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was revealed, called not surprisingly: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, I played the demo to the first game and it seemed cool but I can't buy every video game that's released. Also a video game that's a prequel to the new Tron Legacy movie is being made, the movie is due out 2010. Watch the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II below!

Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel out 2010

The Joker has apparently escaped again and this time he's not locked up in the Arkham Asylum. This game will take place in the streets of Gotham City among other places. I love the first game, which I finished a few weeks ago, and it's gonna be fun to be in the city this time. This video game is a direct sequel to the first and I think Rocksteady will do another great job on this one to. The game is gonna be released in 2010 probably in the summer and I will of course buy it, I'm really looking forward to it! Watch the new trailer below!

Fall 2010: Brink (PS3) release!

In Brink, two sides, "Resistance" and "Security", fight in the outskirts of a utopian city known as The Ark, a floating city surrounded by the waters of a flooded Earth. The Ark was designed as a prototype of a perfect city, with renewable resources and no pollution, large enough to support 5,000 residents. Its population has grown to 50,000 however, leading it to the brink (hence the name of the game) of a civil war.

Brink is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Splash Damage set to release in Fall 2010. It offers team-based multiplayer missions with authored narratives, persistent player characters and an approachable nature. It is also developer Splash Damage's first original title as past titles were part of franchises.

Brink is a FPS which has a special combat and freerunning system called S.M.A.R.T. (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain). It's similar to the video game Mirror’s Edge, which I like very much, S.M.A.R.T. lets the player move around the environment in a dynamic and unique way all based on where the player is standing. It has a story mode which also can be played online with up to 8 players in Co-op. Players can create custom characters with additional rewards bought with experience points. When you join a game, your player replaces an AI fighter. Players are offered objectives that will award them with experience points if completed. When one player selects a particularly important objective, other team members are offered complementary objectives.

This game looks really cool. I like the graphics and the S.M.A.R.T. system because it reminds me of Mirror’s Edge. I hope this video game turns out good and maybe I'll buy it when it comes out next year. Watch the trailer below, which shows a little bit of a mission.

Today the official LPU 9 press release came out and there are information on what the package will include and of course the LPU 9 track list which includes the new Linkin Park song "Across The Line". Below are the official press release copied, so enjoy!

Los Angeles, CA (November 30, 2009) – Two-time Grammy winning rock band LINKIN PARK has announced a December 3rd release date for LPU9: DEMOS, a special rarities album available with a membership to the band's fan club, the Linkin Park Underground. The album and membership package can be purchased together at and at select Best Buy locations and includes a t-shirt, patch, and other exclusive merchandise items.

LPU9: DEMOS features nine unreleased demo versions of some of the band's biggest hits, including "Faint," "Breaking The Habit," and "Leave Out All The Rest." Also included is "Across The Line," a previously unreleased song recorded during the Minutes To Midnight studio sessions. Fans also get "Morning After (acoustic)," from frontman Chester Bennington’s side project, Dead By Sunrise (as an exclusive download).

"Songs change constantly over the course of the creative process, so we thought it’d be cool to share early versions of familiar tracks," says Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda. "The versions in this collection represent important moments in the evolution of each song: different vocals, music variations, and missing parts. They're snapshots of our works-in-progress."

Since its formation in 2001, the LPU’s reach has extended worldwide to form a tight global community. The band has maintained a strong direct bond throughout, and every year they design special merchandise and release music exclusively to LPU members.

Fans first heard the new song, "Across The Line," during online video episodes ("LPTV"). Originally entitled "Japan," fans sought out the song for years, but the band had never released it. In response to fan feedback, the band decided to finish the song and make it available as a highlight of LPU9.

"The LPU is a movement," says guitarist Brad Delson. "Their support of the band is inspiring. So we try to give back to them whenever we can. When we heard that they had been talking about 'Across The Line,' we knew we had to make it available for them."

The LPU has enabled fans worldwide to interact with members of the band, meeting them at exclusive LP Underground meet & greet signings (held at almost every Linkin Park show), or chatting with them online at exclusive chats through the fan club members-only website, In past years, the band has offered free concert tickets to fan club members, cast them as extras in a music video ("Faint"), and flown them out for rehearsal sessions. The site also provides fans with exclusive news, presales, contests, photos, video, and more. The fan club consistently strives to offer more to its members through website innovations, creative content, and engaging contests and giveaways. For more information, please go to

It's December soon...! [Update!]

I love the December month, lot of Christmas lights in the city, all the decoration in the stores and the decoration I have at home every year. I get a special warm feeling inside during December, I really feel the Christmas spirit and the atmosphere all around me and inside of me. And you look forward to Christmas eve and all the presents your gonna get, you feel like a child again and that's something positive for me, never forget your inner child! I also like buying presents and give them to someone, I like making other people happy, but never forget your own happiness, to make other people happy you also need to be.

I play alot of video games during December and Christmas, it's tradition I've had since I was a child. I remember playing "Zelda: Ocarina Of Time" on Nintendo 64 and when I got the first PlayStation on Christmas, it was a magical and happy time and something I will always remember. And because of that I still and always will continue playing video games and watch movie during the December month, and all the year around of course, because it makes me happy!

Other things that's happening is the new Linkin Park Underground package that includes the LPU 9.0 CD, that I think is gonna be one of the best. The new site launches December 3rd and I will renew my membership, I'll have to see how long the package will take to arrive or I'll listen to the CD beforehand because I can hardly wait for it!

I will publish a few more video game reviews, one is "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2", but currently I'm playing a really cool game: "Batman: Arkham Asylum", I'll see if I'm gonna write a review for it. The good thing about waiting to buy a video games is that they will lower the price if you wait long enough. I also think I'm gonna write a review for the LPU 9.0 CD and one for the "Avatar" movie.

BioShock (PS3) review

Do you keep what you make, or does someone take it from you? Government, religion, regulation, morality... these are all just tools that hold back the true potential of mankind. Imagine a place where these elements don't exist. A place where you can pursue science, art, and industry without the naysayers trying to tear you down. Rapture was built as an underwater eden; a place where the elite could elevate themselves above the common man and accomplish the impossible. Though they might have to sacrifice their humanity to attain it.

BioShock is a piece of art and the visual design of Rapture is the most obvious element. Totally gorgeous graphics, great water effects that I often stop for a few seconds just to look at. It's cool that you can look out and see the sea outside, you really feel that you're under water in a huge underwater city. Great architecture all over Rapture, it has an art deco style that is really nice. Blood on the walls, debris on the ground, cracks in the sealing and windows that leak water, it's a city that's falling apart.

It's not only the graphics that's good the sound is really great too. Classic songs from the fifties and earlier, really sets the tone, the world of BioShock truly comes to life. Sound effects such as dripping water and the sporadic public service announcements over the loudspeakers make you pause to listen. Great stunners that makes you believe that something creepy is coming and it doesn't, and when you're not ready an enemy will come out and scare the shit out of you.

What I like about this game is that you can upgrade both your weapons and yourself. Your weapons can get more powerful among other upgrades. The ammo to your weapons can also be changed, you can choose between three kinds of ammo. To upgrade yourself you can buy different plasmids using Adam, you get Adam from harvesting or rescuing a Little Sister. But before you can get the Adam from the Little Sister you have to kill her guardian the Big Daddy. This is not easy but during the game you will learn its weaknesses and your weapons will get more powerful, that will make it easier to kill it.

Raptures citizens discovered a compound called Adam that allows almost limitless genetic manipulation in human beings. To light fires with the snap of your fingers, lift objects with telekinesis or become invisible when not moving proved too compelling for the citizens. Residents began using themselves as "Splicers" to see how far they could genetically “improve” themselves. These improvements, called plasmids, are your main weapons in the game. As you explore Rapture, you must modify and improve your plasmids in order to survive. You can focus on specific powers that you use more often, shaping your gameplay experience. In order to do that, you need Adam. When you run out of power after using the plasmids you inject yourself with Eve.

In addition to the combat, you can learn to both hack computers and research your enemies. Research is done by taking pictures of your enemies to analyze both their plasmids and their weaknesses, taking pictures improves your stats and may also uncover new upgrades that are unavailable anywhere else in the game, accomplishing the research makes the game much easier as you progress. All over Rapture are vending machines that you can get First Aid kits, Eve and ammo among other things. These can be hacked so the price is reduced or you can buy special items that's not available before the hacking. The same thing can be done to security cameras and bots, safes and doors that you don't know the combination to. The hacking works like the old puzzle game Pipe Dreams, you have to direct the water pass traps so the water can run freely to the other side before it fills up. The hacking part was funs in the beginning but it gets boring after you done it a few hundred times.

Overall: BioShock is a video game at its very best, it can create amazing alternative worlds for us to explore, doing those things we can't do in real life. This games has a great atmosphere that comes from everything you see and experiencing in Rapture, everything from the graphics and sound to the RPG elements. This games is a masterpiece and one of the best video games I've ever played. I hope BioShock 2 will be as good as this one, and I will definitely buy it good or bad, they can't fail?

Dead By Sunrise: "Let Down" (music video) review

The seconds single from "Out Of Ashes" is a song called "Let Down", which I love, and the music video has just been leaked to the Internet. I like this video much better than the "Crawl Back In" music video. I like it because it's simple and shows great shots of Chester and the band.

The video has great visual effects also. The entire video is black and white with a red filter that gets brighter and that looks really great, it makes the video very dark and moody. The red represents the sun and you can see a circle in the background sometimes the same one from the DBS logo. Chester is also surrounded by the black fabric that you can see on the album cover and it's trying to suck the life out of him. Bits off the logo is also visible through out the video in different ways. You can also see a cameo from Chester's wife Talinda.

Overall: This is a awesome and cool video that I really love watching and the song makes a great seconds single from "Out Of Ashes" and a great second music video from Chester Bennington's Dead By Sunrise.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 only days left!

It's only 4 days left until Modern Warfare 2 is released on PlayStation 3! I really love the first Modern Warfare game both single player campaign and online, it's one of the best games to PS3 that I have, I said one of them.

I have many games that I consider one of the best I've ever played! I'm still busy with BioShock ,that I love, and is also one of the best games I've played, after I'm finished with it I'm going to play Batman: Arkham Asylum. So I'll wait until I'm done with the games I have until I buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and next year Heavy Rain and many other PlayStation 3 games and games to other platforms.

I'm really looking forward to Modern Warfare 2 due out November 10th. Watch the new trailer below!

Dead By Sunrise: Out Of Ashes review

01. "Fire" XXXXX [5/5]
A beautiful song that touched me from the first time I heard it. This song has a great melody with a nice verse and chorus. The bridge is very melodic, Chester is singing very softly first then screams the same phrases again, I felt goosebumps on my arms. One of the best songs on the album.

02. "Crawl Back In" XXXX [4/5]
This is the first single from Out Of Ashes and it's a good one. A very good punk and rock song and one of the best heavier songs on the album. Good chorus and verse with great vocals and music.

03. "Too Late" XXXX [4/5]
This song has a great intro, then you hear Chester's soft vocals both in the verse and chorus. Overall a beautiful song with soft vocals, great music and a good intro and outro.

04. "Inside Of Me" XXXX [4/5]
The song starts fast with good scream vocals, then comes the chorus which is great and catchy. The song is pretty short, only 2:18 but it doesn't matter because the song has a great tempo from beginning to end.

05. "Let Down" XXXXX [5/5]
The best song on the album. This song is so beautiful, melodic and this song also touched me from the first time I heard it. This song has a great electronica sound with a synth lead and a more rock and upbeat chorus. A great second single!

06. "Give Me Your Name" XXXX [4/5]
A really great love song which has a 80's style music to it. Chester sings very soft in this song and shows what a great singer he is. He continues to sing like that in the verse and chorus. Later in the bridge he sings the chorus with more power which is great. Their's also a great guitar solo and the song ends with a acoustic guitar with chilling vocals over it, a beautiful outro.

07. "My Suffering" XXX [3/5]
"My Suffering" is a song that has grown on me, I didn't feel it was good at first. But after I listen to it a few times I discovered a really cool song. With good verses with a catchy chorus and powerful screams makes this a cool heavy song.

08. "Condemned" XXXXX [5/5]
This is a really heavy song, real bad ass song! This is a grunge song with powerful screams from Chester, the heaviest song I've heard him sing/scream, more of those please! I think this is the best heavy song on the album.

09. "Into You" XXXXX [5/5]
This is also one of my favorite songs on the album. I like how it starts with soft beautiful vocals and then comes a beautiful chorus. The bridge in this song is what makes this a perfect song, when Chester sings the chorus with his powerful vocals it's just awesome. I got goosebumps on my arms from this song, it really touched me.

10. "End Of The World" XXX [3/5]
Sounds little like Nine Inch Nails in the intro with electronica sound. I think the verse is good but the chorus is much better. I also like the bridge very much and a great guitar solo comes right after, the outro is also good which sounds like a radio tuning.

11. "Walking In Circles" XXXX [4/5]
The song starts with acoustic music during the verses which is cool and a great chorus with good dark music and awesome backing vocals. A very dark song with powerful vibes and great lyrics.

12. "In The Darkness" XXX [3/5]
Starts with a cool humming beat over a acoustic guitar. Chester then starts singing very softly during the verses which has great backing vocals. It has a good chorus but I like the verses better. Later a beautiful synth solo is also played which I like. The song ends with a cool outro, a great ending.

13. "Morning After" XXXX [4/5]
I heard this song live many years ago played with a acoustic guitar and a few years later Julien-K and Chester released a remix of it, I've loved it ever since, both the acoustic and the JK remix version. This version also has electronica influences but has much more rock which gives it a more powerful sound, a great bonus track.

Overall: Chester and Dead By Sunrise have made an awesome and cool album that doesn't sound like Linkin Park, because Out Of Ashes has a unique sound. I'm really impressed by the new sound, it's beautiful, heavy and has great music with electronica, rock, punk and pop influences. This album really shows how talented Chester Bennington is.

LPU 9.0 [Update!]

I think this years LPU9 CD is gonna be one of the best. We got new information from the yearly LPU newsletter which I downloaded from the Linkin Park Underground website. I liked the previous years LPU newsletter better, when it came printed on a paper in full color, but I guess this is better for the environment. I only wished that the digital .pdf file had better resolution, this one has very bad resolution, they could have released it on .jpeg files instead.

This years newsletter included some Q&A's and a inside look on Chester's Dead By Sunrise project. And a little information on the new Linkin Park Underground 9.0 package, their was a picture of the CD cover and the new LPU logo and some information of what the package would include: LP Underground 9 CD, LPU 9 T-Shrirt, LPU 9 Patch, LPU 9 Guitar Pick and Online Newsletter. This year you can also get the Premier Pass which includes the first ever LPU Vinyl, this pass cost a little more but no price information has been released yet.

This years LPU CD includes nine tracks which are demos from all Linkin Park's previous albums and a new song that no one has heard before. So I'm looking forward to renewing my LPU account this year! We haven't gotten the CD tracklist yet but it will eventually be released in a few weeks. And I wonder if the CD is gonna leak out on the Internet like it did last year? Because the LPU 9.0 package is also released in "Best Buy" stores in the US, so it will probably leak from that release and not the official LPU 9.0 release. Stay tuned for more information closer to the renewing date.

Zombieland trailer

First of all a cool trailer with those slow-motion effects and the movie looks really cool! It is both scary and gory with a sense of humour and it's a good mix. The movie reminds me of the movie Planet Terror which I also liked. I'm definitely going to see Zombieland. Watch the trailer below!

I haven't updated my Blog in awhile now, been busy with the new laptop that failed to work. So we went to the store and returned it and thank God that I could change it to another one! I picked a SONY VAIO that is actually faster than the PB and has a better 3D card. And of course it has Blu-ray, even though I didn't need it, I already have my PlayStation 3, but the "VAIO" supports full HD 1080p. My HDTV only supports 720p but I love it anyway, I payed for it myself, but in the future I will get a new HDTV with "Full HD 1080p" or more if it exists and I will pick the "Sony Bravia LED" HDTV. I will get the laptop in about two weeks and I really hope it will work great, I'm looking forward to it. And I will write more about what I think of it then.

I think SONY is the best, it's a really great company. Every Sony product I own have always worked great and that's what I love about them: Great quality in their products, the newest technology, great sense for the design and new ideas and the way they do all this is something all the Sony companies in the world do, it doesn't matter if it's in Japan or USA they have a special way of doing things and I like that. Sony has so many thing going on: Videogame consoles (Sony PlayStation 3), Electronics (Sony Bravia, Sony Vaio, Sony Ericsson, Sony Walkman, Sony Handycam, Sony Cyber-shot, Stereos and more...), Format (Blu-ray), Music label (Sony Music), Movie companies (Sony Pictures) and more... They have a lot going on "SONY ONLY DOES EVERYTHING".

Today I listened to "Out Of Ashes" and I think it's a great album and it doesn't sound like Linkin Park and that's cool because it sounds unique. I will listen to it even more tomorrow, because I know it will grow even more on me the second time around. A review of Dead By Sunrise's "Out Of Ashes" will be posted soon...

Dead By Sunrise: "My Suffering" review

Chester surprised everyone on twitter by releasing another song from Out Of Ashes. This time is was "My Suffering". All LP fans have heard the live version and many where disappointed, so was I, that the song changed. Now I've listened to the album version and I think it's good but the other version back in 2008 was better, but we have to except the change and go on. Maybe the song will grow on me? I will review the entire Out Of Ashes album when it comes out October 13th.

Update (23:56): The song is already growing on me after listening to it two times!

Dead By Sunrise: "Fire" & "Crawl Back In" (music video) review

"Fire" single

I like the song "Fire" very much, I like the verse and the chorus and the bit almost at the end is awesome, I got goosebumps all over my arms. That's what I love about Linkin Park that they always makes songs that really moves me and makes me feel all kinds of feelings and get goosebumps, those are always a good sign of a great song. The only version I've heard of "Fire" is the live one so it was really cool to hear the album version and again Chester's vocals sounds great. This is also one of the best songs I've heard from Out Of Ashes so far and I think their will be more awesome song on the album when it's released October 13th.

"Crawl Back In" (music video)

Now I've watched the official and debut video of "Crawl Back In", it was leaked to MySpace but got removed later, it will be released September 8th on MySpace again. I thought it was cool but not as good as the Linkin Park videos directed by Mr. Hahn. The video took place in the desert and you could see big women heads in the background moving. The band Dead By Sunrise looked very cool in the video with Chester moving and walking on the rocks. It was good but not Linkin Park video good, hope the "Let Down" video is better.

District 9 review

I saw the movie District 9 today and I liked it very much. I didn't know anything about the plot before I watched it, which I think is the best way to watch a movie, so I was positively surprised. I liked the documentary feel to the movie, like Cloverfield, I get more involved with the movie that way, it was like I watched the news, I really wanted to listen and it was interesting. I thought the movie was funny in the beginning, but then it got a bit more serious, the way the humans threated the aliens like the didn't have any value.

The aliens lived in a place called District 9, it became the slum and they had to trade stuff like alien weapons to the human gang leader who ruled the district, to get food (catfood) or they hade to eat garbage. But alien weapons couldn't be used by humans because of the different DNA. Aliens were threaded really bad, they were killed and got their legs and arms cut off because the gangs thought it would give them powers.

It's a movie about excepting the ones who's different, that every one has feelings, that everyone wants their children and family safe and they would do anything to get them safe, to admit that they're wrong about judging and a movie about survival.

Overall: It's a very good Sci-Fi movie, it's a good thriller and it didn't get boring at all, it was very exciting all the time with lots of gore effects and explosions and it's a touching movie. The special effects in this movie is one of the best I've seen, very impressive! I strongly recommend this movie to every one and I'm going to buy it on Blu-ray when it comes out! A very cool and awesome movie!

New "Avatar" trailer

I've watched the new Avatar trailer and I have to say the movie looks really cool. I love James Cameron's movies especially Terminator. His new movie, Avatar, is coming out December 18th and I really look forward to it. I will of course watch it in 3D (Real-D), I haven't watched any movie yet in the new format Real-D, so I'm excited. If I like it very much I'll buy it on Blu-ray when it comes out. Check out the new trailer below!

10 Golden Retriever puppies

Today I met for the second time my aunts ten Golden Retriever puppies, they're so cute. It's 7 boys and 3 girls and almost all of them are sold. When I first met them they were only 4 weeks old and they were really tiny, today they're 7 weeks old and a bit bigger, but you can still hold them in your arms. We were their about 3 hours and I played with them, held them in my arms and then we fed all ten of them. After that we let their mother go to them so they could get milk. The puppies were outside with a fence around them, it was easier that way because they were pooping all the time.

I was so happy today, if you only look at them you'd get a smile on your face. I like dogs but I don't want one myself I would get bored of them. When I was a child we had my grandparents dog for a week and I took care of her every day. When I came home from school I took her out for a walk and fed her, I think it was good to see what a responsibility it is to have a dog, every one who would like a dog should take care of one first. It was fun but like I said, I got a little bored of it.

Rock climbing in Mölle

Today me and my family went to a place called Mölle, it's near the ocean. There's a nice harbor where we ate. The weather was great today about 20 degrees and almost no clouds, in the shadow you could feel it was only 20 degrees but in the sun it was very hot. Then we took the car and drove little higher up on the hill. It was like a cliff and below was the water, it was very steep.

Later we found out that there was a cave, so we went to it. It was very hard to go there, we had to grab the rocks so that we wouldn't fall, but it was fun. Then we were getting closer to the cave and a nine year old boy, who spoke English, told us it was a very small cave, and it was wet in there. He kept on speaking, I couldn't believe how good English he spoke, I mean he wasn't that old, and he was from Germany. He said it was many ghosts in there and bats and we all laughed. We went there and saw that he was right, it was very small, no ghosts :), so we went back and were all tired. Even so, it was a fun day, I like exploring and climbing rocks, then we went home happy.

Finale Malmöfestivalen 2009

Today was the finale day of Malmöfestivalen, it's been a fun week and I think this year is one of the best. I've eaten different food, bought candy and listen to concerts at Stor Torget. And today on the last day it was a "Light Inferno" and at the same time a Orchestra played and had different artist sing covers. It was okay but I miss the traditional "Firework show", but they said it was too expensive and bad for the environment. In the newspaper it said it would start 00:30 but I later found out it was 23:00, but we went their a few hours before so we had luck. So we went to the square so we would get a good spot and suddenly the Orchestra started playing, so I think we saw the whole thing, but I think many people thought that it's was just the warm up but sadly no and the light show was a disappointment. A huge anticlimax!! :(

But still it's one of the best years so far. It's the 25 anniversary of Malmöfestivalen this year, so it's probably why it had so many great artists. See you next year!

The food (Langos, Quarter Ribs, Tacos, Pancake with chocolate, Spanish waffles, Polkagrisar, Burnt Almonds). The Concerts (RixFM Festivalen, NRJ In The Park, Finale). The light tower on Stor Torget (Cool colors), The happy people (You feel happy when you see all the children laughing and smiling), That something happens in Malmö at least ones a year.

"Light Inferno" as a finale (Not a inferno at all, the person who said that exaggerated alot, it was just like it was everyday, pretty cool light effects), People who doesn't show respect and push you.

One of the best Malmöfestivalen so far..."
